Works of ‘Art’//October 207th, 2020

Here’s a surprise I bet no one saw coming: I will watch virtually anything related to Halloween. From the most silly, childish TV special to the darkest of horrors, if I think some sort of media will capture the essence of my favorite time of year, you can most definitely bet that I’ll give it a watch. I’m not snobby, I don’t discriminate. There are some I like better than others, of course, and some I don’t like much at all, but it’s always interesting to see what’s out there. Sometimes my interest and thought process goes far beyond just the Halloween aspect of it as well. Such was the case with a movie I watched a couple of months back, called All Hallows’ Eve. If you’re involved in the horror community at all, you’ve probably at least heard or seen pictures of a character known as Art the Clown. To my knowledge, I’ve never suffered from coulrophobia. As a child, I was pretty much indifferent toward clowns. I had a clown doll from my grandfather that I treas

It’s Not Always Sunny In The Pumpkin Patch: COVID-19//October 191st, 2020

I try to keep things on the lighter side on this blog. There’s nothing I love more than sharing a spooky story or idea, or a random memory. My state has the second-highest number of cases of COVID-19 in the country. It is terrifying, and I’m not home surrounding myself with the things that make me happiest during this time. I am the assistant manager of the online shopping department in a grocery store.  To say that the workload has gotten out of control would be the understatement of the century. We are absolutely flooded  with orders, currently behind by two da

The Day Horus’ Heart Turned Pink//October 184th, 2020

The residents of the Pumpkin Patch were all quite confused, the day they found a wandering tiny ghost with a pink heart on its chest. For this had to be Horus, but Horus had always had an orange heart on his chest, and a much more inquisitive, curious nature. “Don’t you remember how we always matched?” Penderghast, the ghost poppet, asked him. But the little ghost didn’t. “Surely you remember how we ran around Sleepy Hollow, taking pictures of the ghosts that matched you in the shop windows?” Lauretta inquired. But the little ghost didn’t. It was becoming more and more evident that something must’ve happened to Horus. His physical appearance had changed, and he’d clearly lost his memory. As a panic started to settle in among the residents of the Pumpkin Patch, suddenly, they heard a voice. “”I can’t believe I accidentally temporarily banished myself! I’m never touching those Tarot cards again! Oh...I see you’ve met my sister,” said Horus.
